Announcement - June 2023

Congratulations to our very own Sensei Susan Campbell 4th Dan JKA who has yet again  strived in her journey in Karate-do, achieving her Examiner 'C' Qualification.  Our attendance at the JKA France Summer Gasshuku along with her Instructor Sensei Jim Murray 5th Dan JKA was complete with a truly inspirational performance showing that even our Sensei's still work to progress and better themselves. I hope all members of JKA Dunfermline & Alloa will join us in congratulating Sensei in her performance and achievement and follow suit to drive towards your own goals.

Dan Grade Announcement - June 2022

We are delighted to announce that Sensei Susan Campbell has achieved the rank of Yondan (4th Dan) JKA and Paul Watson has achieved the rank of Sandan (3rd Dan) JKA.  Fantastic achievement by both and very well deserved with the amount of hard work and study they put in to make sure they were ready.

JKA Scotland Dan Grading Passes - 9th October 2021

Congratulations to our newest Dan Grades, we are very proud to announced that both Ivan & Isaiah Macatangay after 4.5 years of training and a very tough 18 months of training with Covid-19 restrictions and lockdowns left nothing on the floor and passed Shodan Level with no minus errors. Hard work pays off. 

JKA Scotland National Course & Dan Grading Annouced - 9th October 2021

We are delighted to announce the post lockdown National Course and Dan Grading for Brown and Black Belts.  Full details will follow nearer the time regarding Pre booking your place.  This is the first Dan Grading that has been able to take place since October 2019.

JKA Scotland Squad Training Recommencing - 11th September 2021

For the first time since Covd restrictions cam into force March 2020 we are recommencing JKA Scotland Squad Training.  This session will take place at Dunfermline High School, starting 11am to 1pm with Sensei Alan Simpson and Sensei John Deans (Squad Coach).  All students wishing to attend must pre book through the JKA Scotland website - www.jkascotland.com

 

Any students considering attending, there will be an expectation to be aware of their own protection and that of others attending on the day for covid safety,  Please make sure you are aware of all guidelines for attending.  These can be found on the JKA Dunfermline & Alloa Facebook Group Page for our clubs.

Congratulations - Recent Kyu Gradings - 15th Aug 2021

For the first time due to Covid Restrictions since March 2020, JKA Dunfermline & Alloa Dojo's were able to hold face to face Kyu Gradings with all students present.   These grading took place at Dunfermline Dojo.  Congratulations to the following students for achieving Kyu Grades:

Club Online Christmas Quiz Night - 28th Dec 2020

Due to being in Lockdown (Covid-19) we were not able to have our yearly christmas night out and therefore we had an online christmas Quiz with a number of students joining in and what a laugh this was.  The quiz had everything in including (The Wheel, Family Forstunes, Blankety Blank) with various prizes being won due the evening from Gi's, Merchandise, Books, Free Training, Vouchers etc.  You have to make the best of the situation your in.

Congratulations - Recent Kyu Gradings - 20th Dec 2020

With restrictions in place due to Covid-19 our Kyu grading in November was cancelled and therefore it was decided that individual gradings would take place in the dojo which adhered to the current guidelines at that time.  Congratulations to Ruth Evans for achieving 5th Kyu and Finn McGuire for achieving 9th Kyu.

Participation in the JKA Funakoshi Gichin World Online Kata Festival Event - 2020/21

Due to the Covid 19 restrictions around the world and the World Championships in Tokyo being cancelled, JKA decided to hold for all JKA members around the world and online event which was aimed to bring everyone together regardless if they were training at home. Congratulations - International Qualification Exam Passes

Announcement - Fitness Studio Upgrade
